Suicide Prevention

Host Lisa Bien helps bring light to an issue that is sometimes considered taboo: suicidal depression. Temple alumna Garden Wellington Logan expresses her feelings of grief and guilt after the suicide of her brother William.

Garden looked to resources such as grief counselors and organizations like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to gain a greater understanding of suicide and its prevention. Joining the two later in the program is psychiatrist Thomas Newmark who gives viewers a list of warning signs that may indicate if a person close to you is contemplating suicide.
