On this first edition of The Vibe in 2020, the show welcomes two new hosts – Samir Walker and Semeia Smith. The hosts kick off the show with Poppin’ Topics, in which Zef Marcelo and Jaycee The Rapper discuss their favorite artists and albums from previous decades and music trends in hiphop that they foresee coming up in the next ten years. As usual, viewers can expect to enjoy a series of rap performances, this time by Zef Marcelo and Jaycee The Rapper. Plus, learn more about how the resources at Temple have helped RushVish, an 18-year-old Youtuber, advance in his music career.
Created by journalism student Nydja Hood, The Vibe is Temple University’s first hip-hop culture and music television show, which provides a platform to artists at Temple and beyond. On The Vibe, students discuss what is trending in popular culture, and rappers, poets, and singers are featured. Follow the Vibe on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
