(Recorded in October 2024) On the Fall 2024 semester premiere of The Vibe, new hosts Amiyah Young and Joshua Groves take the lead in a show dedicated to music production. Correspondent Tristan Plato discusses the history of producers in Philadelphia. Correspondent DJ Britton highlights the work of producers Pharrell Williams and Odd One. Finally, Joshua and Amiyah welcome special guest Kobana, a rising rapper and producer from Philadelphia. With hits like “Happily In Love” and “Rocknrollin,” Kobana is evolving into a well-rounded artist and gaining recognition in the local music scene.

Created by journalism alumni Nydja Hood, The Vibe is Temple University’s first hip-hop culture and music television show, which provides a platform to artists at Temple and beyond. On The Vibe, students discuss what is trending in popular culture as well as feature rappers, poets, singers, and more.
