College students across the country are living in uncertainty due to housing and food insecurity. On top of taking classes, many worry about where they’ll sleep at night or where their next meal will come from. Marissa Meyers shares her story of growing up in a difficult living situation and overcoming abuse, trauma, and housing insecurity. Now, Marissa is a practitioner-researcher at the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice, an action research center focused on rethinking and restructuring higher education and social policies, practices, and resources to create opportunities for all students to complete college degrees.
