Ooka (“Richard”) Lee is an international student from Dalian, China, who is majoring in Media Studies Production, a TSG member of the Main Campus Board, and an international resident coordinator. Before becoming so heavily involved in campus life, Lee struggled with isolation and finding a place to fit into. Lee tells his story to Lisa Bien: his journey of coming to America and becoming withdrawn from life around him, but slowly going on to find communities around Temple where he found companionship. Joining the program for the second half is Martyn Miller, the Director for International Services. Miller expounds upon assisting students through the process of coming the USA, introducing them to American culture, and how Temple students can forge stronger bonds with international students.
