Temple University students took home four College Production Awards at the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards, capping an outstanding night of recognition for Temple and TUTV at the ceremony in Philadelphia on Saturday, September 26.
Temple entered the evening with 15 College Production Award nominations across categories including newscast, hard news, arts and entertainment, long form, sports, solo storytelling and talent. By the end of the night, Temple students had earned four awards:

The honor adds to an extraordinary year for Temple Update. The same November 13, 2025 newscast was recently named the national winner of the RTDNA Student Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Video Newscast.

The four awards reflect the range of storytelling being produced by Temple students, from live television news and long-form journalism to individual reporting, production and on-camera performance.
The evening also included a particularly meaningful moment for the Temple community when longtime TUTV General Manager Paul Gluck was inducted into the Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s Gold Circle Society.
The Gold Circle recognizes television professionals who have contributed 50 or more years of service to the industry as valued colleagues, mentors, creative contributors and advocates for their audiences and communities.
Gluck received a heartfelt and sustained ovation from those gathered for the ceremony, reflecting the extraordinary impact he has had on generations of students, colleagues and television professionals throughout his 50-year career.
For Temple and TUTV, the evening was both a celebration of the next generation of storytellers and a tribute to someone whose mentorship and leadership helped create opportunities for so many of them.
