In celebration of Black History Month, the university hosted a leadership panel to highlight the success and excellence of our local Black leaders. David Brown, Diversity Advisor of the Dean of Klein College, and Nefertiri Sickout, Philadelphia’s Chief DEI officer, lead this panel and welcome the following guests:

• Jim Kenney, Mayor of the City of Philadelphia
• Dr. Jason Wingard, President of Temple University
• Arthur Johnson, Athletic Director of Temple University
• Aaron McKie, Temple Men’s Basketball Coach
• Tonya Cardoza, Temple Women’s Basketball Coach
• Stan Drayton, Temple Head Football Coach

Hear why the panelists believe inclusive leadership is crucial to organizations, their perspectives on how that can be achieved, and more. The mediators ask panelists specific questions about their varying industries, including higher education and athletics, and later hear brief statements from other Temple leaders who could not attend the panel.
