Temple University Lecture: Ann Merchant
Ann Merchant is the Deputy Executive Director for Communications at the National Academies in Washington, DC. For over 20 years she has worked in marketing and communications, which has led her to introduce an unlikey pair: Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Seth MacFarlane. But it was this exact meeting that spawned the extremely popular TV series “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.” Merchant stops by Temple to discuss the show’s partnership, the series, and how to get more people interested in science through popular media.
