Held at Temple University’s Center City Campus, speaker Dr. Parry Guilford, a professor in the Cancer Genetics Laboratory at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, addresses the past, the present, and hope for the future concerning Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer. Dr. Guilford provides research and valuable insight into the effects the disease can have on an individual. He also discusses his experiences with a Maori tribe that eventually led to the discovery of the CDH1 gene mutation responsible for causing the disease.
