Library Lecture: Science Fiction for the Future


This lecture is a discussion about preserving, digitizing, and teaching science fiction collections. Panelists include Margery N. Sly, a certified archivist and a Fellow of the Society of American Archivists who has been serving as director of TUL’s Special Collections Research Center since December 2010, Alex Wermer-Colan, a postdoctoral fellow in Temple University Libraries’ Loretta C. Duckworth Scholars Studio whose editorial criticism and scholarly writing has appeared in Twentieth Century Literature, and André Carrington, a scholar of race, gender, and genre in Black and American cultural production, currently an Associate Professor of African American literature at Drexel University.
