Dr. Haki Madhubuti is a publisher, editor, educator, and activist who has been a pivotal figure in the development of a strong Black literary tradition. He found his love for Black literature while serving in the US military where books became his second home. He has published over 40 books and is one of the best-selling authors of poetry and non-fiction.
