Dr. Mari Castañeda, dean of the Commonwealth Honors College and professor of communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, spoke about her scholarship examining the fields of Latinx/Chicana communication studies, digital media and communications policy, and academic cultures of care. Her research and engaged scholarship has appeared in multiple journals and monographs, and is she co-editor of Mothers in Academia.
