John Palfrey chairs the steering committee of the Digital Public Library of America. In this invitational lecture, Palfrey describes the ambitious, public-spirited effort to establish a national digital library in the United States. The DPLA brings together thousands of people from diverse backgrounds who share a vision of an enduring national resource where all Americans can access our cultural heritage resources, free to all.
