Humanities Lecture: Jess Newman


In this lecture, Jess Newman takes a close look at different novels to investigate morality. Jess Newman is a feminist medical anthropologist of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). She joined Temple University as an Assistant Professor of Anthropology in 2018. She is an Affiliated Professor of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and International Studies. Jess’s work combines anthropological studies of bureaucracy and the state with critical medical anthropology, “Territorializing Rumors, Dangerous Sex”.
