Phil Holtje shares his insight on genocide and its relation to contemporary music with the Communication Studies Club. Holtje was born and raised in Upstate New York and graduated with a BA in History from Binghamton University. He then moved to the Philadelphia, earned an MA in Holocaust and Genocide Studies at West Chester University in May 2010. He is currently working on a series of publications that focus on the commemoration of 20th century genocides in popular music.
