Three Temple faculty members explore the history and future of books. Panelists include Priya Joshi, professor of English, who is currently researching how contemporary literature is remade on Web 2.0; Dr. Naomi Rosenberg, an Emergency Department physician at Temple and the assistant director of narrative medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, who discusses narrative medicine and how we are using stories, reflection, and other means to restore and preserve empathy in medicine; and Ashley West, associate professor of Art History, an art historian of Northern Renaissance art (ca. 1450-1550) who explores painter-printmaker Hans Burgkmair (1473-1531), an important figure in early color printmaking and in oversize multi-block woodcuts.
