(Recorded in April 2024) Bridging Worlds: The Tales of Dual Identity is a TUTV original program created and hosted by master’s student Djeneba Kouyate. As a first-generation immigrant from Mali, Djeneba created this program to highlight the experiences of first and second-generation immigrants in America. On this pilot episode, Djeneba welcomes Colin Macfarlane and Eduardo Burgos Quezada from The Nationalities Service Center, as well as fellow Temple University master’s student Amanda Smith, to the studio. Colin and Eduardo discuss their roles at NSC, immigrant expectations coming to America, and more. Amanda discusses her firsthand experiences as a second-generation Haitian American.
TUTV Original Programs are the result of the hard work and creativity of Temple University students. From producing and filming to writing and directing, these programs are entirely crafted by the students at the university. Their dedication and passion for their craft shine through in every episode.
