TUTV Original Programs are the result of the hard work and creativity of Temple University students. From producing and filming to writing and directing, these programs are entirely crafted by the students at the university. Their dedication and passion for their craft shine through in every episode.
Across the Bridge
In 1991, Sister Helen moved to Camden from Philadelphia in hopes of becoming a social worker. After helping a mother find her daughter’s murderer, Sister Helen’s plans quickly changed. From this, Sister Helen started helping more families and ended up opening Guadalupe Family Services and last year opened an after-school program for high school students.
Across the Bridge is a student-made documentary that follows Sister Helen and other community members, like a high school football coach and the police chief, as they show their own version of Camden and what they see for the future. Produced by Abbie Lee, Ryan Leddy, Casey McKenna, Jenna Miele, and Colin Clark for Kristine Weatherston’s class.
