Human Trafficking

Melissa Steininger sits down with Kaitlin Bangert, graduate student at the Temple School of Social Work, and Jay Atlas, founder of Worthwhile Wear: Go. Together they discuss the severity of human trafficking, the internet’s role, the importance of awareness, and how it is both a local and global issue.

Later, Melissa is joined by Jamie Manirazika, Director of Anti-Trafficking at the Salvation Army, and Shea Rhodes, Director of the Villanova Law Institute to Address Sexual Exploitation. They talk about the human trafficking that occurs in Philadelphia, the dangerous cycle its victims become trapped in, and what can be done to help.
