Adolescent Sexual Health

Melissa Steininger is joined by Susan Washinger, a Coordinator for the Institute on Adolescent Sexual Health at Temple University’s Harrisburg campus and Kate Schaeffer from the Temple Wellness Resource Center. Washinger discusses Temple’s goals for the Institute and one of its statewide programs that collaborates with other programs and providers across Pennsylvania. Schaeffer speaks on the importance of communication and promoting consensual decisions along with supplying a positive perspective and support to students. In the second half of the program, Steininger sits down with Kathryn Turnowchyk, a representative of Access Matters, a Philadelphia organization that focuses on providing sexual and reproductive healthcare to those in need of it.
