Host Will Dawson starts off the school year with a new episode of Temple Tonight, where his famous desk ornament is found broken, which sparks a noir-style whodunit as he sets out to uncover the culprit. Once he solves the case, he calls a town meeting to share his ambitious plans for the new season, leading to an existential crisis. He then sits down with “The Devil’s Advocate” to hear a different perspective on recent history. The episode continues with another installment of sidekick Adam’s segment, “Up and Adam,” as he hits the streets to talk with Temple students about the upcoming Temple–Penn State game. The night wraps up with artist Sawyer Fierce, also known as Bug Grrrl, who joins the show for an interview and makes her debut performance with her original song, “The Stake.”
