Cruz Reynoso: Sowing the Seeds of Justice is an award-winning documentary film produced by Abby Ginzberg about Cruz Reynoso’s extraordinary life and career as the first Latino appointed to the California Supreme Court. Reynoso felt the sting of injustice as a child of farmworkers, and later as a lawyer, judge and teacher fought for over five decades to eradicate discrimination and inequality for all. In addition to serving on California’s Supreme Court, President Bill Clinton appointed him Vice Chair of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in 1994. He later awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2000.
