The theme of this episode of High Flying Owls is “stop pulling your hair out”–both literally and figuratively. Professor Dwight Carey speaks with Emily Kight, a biochemical engineering student and creator of Prohibere, and Alex Garashchenko, a commercial entrepreneur. Emily Kight suffers from trichotillomania, so to stop pulling her hair out, she created personal care products to help alleviate some of the pain associated with the incurable disease. On the other hand, Alex Garashchenko is involved in a company that helps business to not “pull their hair out” due to frustration with computers, software, and technology.
