In this special 10th anniversary episode of Temple Talk, hosts Jesse Kosierowski, Maggie Fitzgerald, Alyssa Threadgill, Alissa Clausell, and Jo Zera come together to share their favorite moments of the season and discuss the hottest pop culture moments of the past and present with unbridled confidence. Adding to the excitement, the original creators of Temple Talk, Marissa Giletto and Luke Frey, make a special appearance. The hosts welcome them to the stage, and together, they reminisce about the show’s early days, sharing their expert insights and perspectives with the audience.

On this episode of Feel Good Cooking, host Seth Carney visits Temple University Cherry Pantry for all the ingredients necessary to make enough nutritious spaghetti to feed one student for a week. While he’s there, he sits down with Cherry Pantry Program Coordinator Annette Ditolvo to learn more about the Cherry Pantry, its hours of operation, how you can donate, and more.

The Cherry Pantry is Temple University’s food pantry, located at 224A in the Howard Gittis Student Center. The Cherry Pantry’s mission is to combat hunger in the Temple community by supplying nutritious emergency food while providing equal treatment to all who visit the pantry. The Cherry Pantry’s vision is a Temple community where student success is not undermined by hunger.

He also provides insights into the Temple Esports club’s progress, growth, and future plans. Queer Temple is the first LGBTQIA+ series produced by TUTV, co-created by Temple students Christopher Smith and Andreas Copes. The program explores the world through the eyes of LGBTQIA+ individuals, with a focus on current events, history, and life in the queer community.

On the Fall 2023 semester premiere of Queer Temple, Laila Paige hosts a special episode that focuses on understanding the transgender community through personal stories and open conversations. Joining Laila is Athena Anderson (She/They), a junior at Temple University studying secondary English education, and Kendall Stephens (She/Her), a social work master’s student and activist. In a discussion panel, they address transgender representation, discuss misconceptions, and share self-care practices to encourage those who are in the process of self-discovery. Later,  Amanda Bule (She/Her), the Wellness Education Program Coordinator at Temple University’s Wellness Resource Center, shares campus resources and gender-affirming care services.

While pursuing a Media Studies and Production degree at Temple University’s Klein College, she continues to hone her craft as a classically trained vocalist and songwriter. Impressive enough, she also takes on the role of her own audio engineer.

Who is “The Heart Of Temple?”

Is there someone within the Temple community you think deserves recognition? If so, nominate them! Temple University Television (TUTV) is organizing a new contest called “The Heart of Temple,” and we want to hear from you. From now until November 8, students can submit their entries via Instagram (@temple_tv) by filling out the Google form that can be found on the TUTV account’s bio. In their submissions, students are asked to identify a special person who they believe represents the heart of Temple University.

To participate in the nomination process, all individuals must be enrolled as students at Temple University and follow TUTV on Instagram (@temple_tv). Participants must submit a photograph of their favorite Temple figure and a paragraph explaining why they believe this person deserves the nomination. This contest aims to acknowledge and appreciate the people who make Temple University a great school. The nominee could be anyone from a professor to a resident assistant or a favorite security guard. The possibilities are endless.

Created by journalism student Nydja Hood, The Vibe is Temple University’s first hip-hop culture and music television show, providing a platform for artists at Temple and beyond. On The Vibe, students discuss what is trending in popular culture and feature rappers, poets, singers, and more.

On this special episode of The Vibe, hosts Jocelyn Hockaday, Bruce Claxton, and Lauren Jackson dig deep and explore how every song, every lyric, and every artist has a story. They attend Temple University’s Black Student Union’s Open Mic Night, where Black Artists from all backgrounds showcase their talent. The event features a variety of performances by Cal Nubian, Antony Dean, Joshua Peeler, and Donovan Fields. Later, the hosts provide a “Hip-Hop History Rundown” and give valuable insights into the genre’s evolution. Correspondent Lauren Jackson also interviews singer-songwriter Nahsir Griffen, who performs his latest single, “Runaway.” From beginning to end, this jam-packed episode is full of pure vibes.

The 41st Annual Mid-Atlantic NATAS Awards was presented on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square in Lancaster, P.A.  Of the thirteen nominations, TUTV received two.  The cast and crew from OwlSports Update took home the award for Best College Student Production Long Form, and student-producers from The Temp got Best College Production for Sports Story or Segment.
