“High Flying Owls” guests turned their passions into businesses

High Flying Owls: Adolfo Massari and Joseph Green

In a new episode of Professor Dwight Carey’s show highlighting Temple’s entrepreneurial alumni, we meet two such small business owners who sought to build companies in an area of their personal interest. Adolfo Massari co-founded a high-end automobile investment company, while Joe Green started his own luxury confectionary business.

Adolfo Massari’s interest in cars began as a child when his father would take him to a local classic car dealership every Saturday morning. Over the years, his passion for old automobiles only increased, and he now runs a company in the collector car market.

Joe Green grew up baking with his family. After high school, he considered going to culinary school, but instead attained a business degree in an effort not to have to spend his career working for others. While an undergrad, Joe interned at the Night Kitchen Bakery in Chestnut Hill where he recognized an opportunity to offer something differe💯nt in the baking industry. With 16 years of experience, Joe pursued his passion and launched Affinity Confections in 2014.
