Beginning Tuesday, September 3rd, TUTV sports programs will begin producing new episodes on a weekly basis again. Inside the Nest is first up starting Tuesday, September 3 at noon with the latest in everything Temple football. The new season of Inside the Nest will begin with a half hour episode because Coach Carey won’t be holding a press conference that week, but the program will return to its usual hour-long runtime the following week. Next, tune in Thursday, September 5 at noon for an all new edition of OwlSports Update, TUTV’s one stop show for Temple Athletics news.

Welcome to Temple, Class of 2023! We are so excited to meet new freshmen and transfer students and invite you all to take advantage of the resources available on and off campus.
A little about ourselves: Temple University Television (TUTV) is committed to serving as a showcase for the best work by Temple students, faculty and alumni. In other words, we broadcast content produced by you! To submit your original work to TUTV, take a look at the submissions section of this website. We also feature programming produced in classes, such as Temple Update and A Broader View, so be sure to sign up for them in the future if you’d like to be featured on TUTV. And if you have any questions at all, just shoot us an email using our contact form.
Of course, the best way to learn more about what TUTV is all about is to watch our 24/7 programming! If you have cable in your living quarters, tune in to Comcast channel 50 or Verizon channel 45, depending on your cable provider. If you don’t have cable, you can watch online.
One year after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, leaving millions without power and water, the Puerto Rican community is still trying to rebuild their homes, community, and lives. Hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans fled in the largest exodus the island has ever seen.
This short documentary directed and produced by Temple University students highlights Philadelphia’s Puerto Rican community and their ongoing mourning and recovery.
Produced by Annmarie Ciaccierlli, Colin Faughnan, Olivia Love, Sarah Mammano, Olivia Redden, and Daniela Quintero-Rodriguez for Kristine Weatherston’s class, Ave Maria features interviews and footage of Puerto Rico to describe the devastation and perseverance to be found on the island. Watch the premiere on TUTV on Saturday, August 31 at 3:30 and 11:30 p.m.
TUTV will be carrying the 2019 Convocation Ceremony live from The Liacouras Center on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. Tune in to Comcast channel 50 or Verizon 45 within Philadelphia city limits, or watch online everywhere. The ceremony will air again on TUTV at 11:30 p.m. and on Saturday, August 24 at 7:30 a.m.
Convocation at Temple University is a tradition that occurs annually during Welcome Week. This formal ceremony, which follows school and college meetings, celebrates the arrival of the new class of undergraduate students, freshmen and transfers. Various university leaders will welcome the new class and mark the beginning of students’ academic journey.
Breaking away from its usual format which features Temple seniors and juniors discussing college life, the latest episode of The Temple Experience highlights recent grads. Carli Showmaker, Asad Bokhari, and Matthew Ward, who graduated from Temple University in May 2019, are interviewed by General Manager Paul Gluck about their college experience, their life goals, and what they would tell Temple freshmen.
They also discuss what drew them to Temple and their majors, when their interest in media and production developed, and what their next steps are.
Watch the premiere this Thursday, August 22 at 1 and 9 p.m. on TUTV (Comcast 50, Verizon 45 or online).

TUTV Table Read was a show produced at Temple several years ago. Its format was that of a radio play, but performed live and airing unadorned and unedited as it was captured by Temple students. A previously unreleased short segment focusing on skewering the gothic horror subgenre is now being made available to watch online. Presenting, TUTV Table Read: The Pillow in the Casket.
Newlywed Sally Crawford returns to town to help her mother carry out a witchdoctor’s instructions regarding the burial of her father’s heart. They dig up a rusty metal box containing a decomposed human heart and a skeletal finger wearing a wedding ring, belonging to Sally’s dad and Mrs. Crawford’s husband. Mrs. Crawford then takes a tuff of coyote fur and places it in the box before placing the box back into the dirt in order for it to “marinate until it’s time.” Being back in her hometown brings back memories of her father and forces Sally to confront her mother about his death and her final wishes.
Black America is a TV show on CUNY TV that profiles Black business leaders, activists, writers and artists to explore what it means to be black in America in the 2010s. The weekly half-hour program uses in-depth conversations to gauge this experience in a time of both turbulence and breakthroughs.
Emmy® Award-winning TV anchor and journalist Carol Jenkins hosts the series. Ms. Jenkins has a long broadcast history with Black public affairs shows, beginning as pioneering co-host of WNBC-TV’s Positively Black, one of the earliest New York City programs dedicated to the Black experience. Tune in to TUTV on Thursday, August 1 at 1 and 9 p.m. to watch this wide-ranging discussion in commemoration of Lew’s passing last month.
