The season premiere of TUTV’s The Vibe airs this week and features an introduction to new co-host Sydney Umezurike, a senior Media and Production major, who previously served as the organization spotlight correspondent. Sydney moderates this edition of Poppin’ Topics, and asks whether or not drug use is glorified in hip hop in a discussion with rapper and Professor of Geography and Urban Studies at Temple, Timothy Welbeck, and producer Cameron Clay. Later, Sydney visits Power 99 offices to conduct an interview with host Roxy Romeo, who discusses her Trini heritage and more. The episode is capped off with a performance by special musical guest Franky Hill.
