TUTV’s all-female talk show is finishing up the year with a new holiday-themed episode premiering Saturday. The hosts also discuss “love languages”, celebrity use of social media, and the stigma of tattoos in the workplace. Tune in December 21 at 3:30 and 11:30 p.m. to see the season finale of this student produced program.
On a new episode of Your Best Life, host Lisa Bien highlights “burnout,” a phenomenon familiar to many in today’s world, with studies showing that it is especially prevalent among women. The World Health Organization recently added burnout to its list of occupational syndromes.
Lisa brings Joyel Crawford to the set to give a first hand account of her experiences with burnout, which ultimately derailed her career in Human Resources. However, Joyel also describes how she faced it head on and came out on the other side to live her best life. She now runs her own company, Crawford Leadership Strategies, that consults with businesses about how to prevent burnout in their employees.

Philly Famous Podcast starts off a new season with a bang! Dave Silver of REC Philly and Amplify Philly comes to the set to talk to host Greg Holdsman about his business ventures and his rise from throwing DIY shows on Temple campus to opening a brand new, 10,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in the recently reopened Fashion District Philadelphia.
Dave Silver and his best friend from high school, Will Toms, both Temple alums, together started REC Philly in 2015, which has been called by Forbes Magazine a “WeWork for artists.” The company serves as a resource hub for performing and creative artists who join the service, providing everything from recording and studio space, a store to sell your wares, meditation rooms and much, much more.

TUTV’s hip hop culture talk show returns with an all new episode on Saturday, December 7 at 3:30 and 11:30 p.m. Philly based producer turned recording artist PromoBoi comes on set as a guest in this episode’s Poppin Topics segment.
Temple Talk premieres a new episode in time for the winter holidays this week. The hosts discuss the latest in entertainment news and gossip, and speak to Philly artist Jada Byrd, who talks about the art she creates and her passion for helping young artists realize their potential.

On a new episode of Your Best Life with Lisa, Lisa Bien talks to Diana Liberto, who went from suffering from severe depression and PTSD to becoming an innovator and living her best life.
Diana was a successful lawyer when her father, mother, and uncle all died suddenly and tragically within a short period of time. In an attempt to face her monumental losses, she hired a personal trainer and found that making conversation with her trainer gave her relief. She realized that “walking and talking” was the perfect way to mourn and work through her issues. However, she also knew that most women can’t afford a personal trainer, so she developed an app to provide a similar regimen to what had worked for her. She quit her well-paying job and launched the WalkMyMind app.

High Flying Owls is hosted by Dwight Carey, an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at Temple, who interviews alumni who have started their own businesses. In this episode, Dwight talks to married couple Chloe and Phillip Carroll, the latter a Temple alum, who are filmmakers who just released their award-winning movie, The Honeymoon Phase. Together they came up with the idea for the story and Phillip wrote the screenplay and directed the film, while Chloe acts in the film as a lead. Both also acted as producers.
The Honeymoon Phase is a psychological thriller following struggling young lovers, Tom and Eve, who sign up for a 30 day experiment designed to examine why love tends to diminish over time in relationships. However, they through the course of the study, the couple find themselves facing the unexpected.

A new episode of Brand Matters covers the vaping industry and especially the Juul brand. Host Steve McLean and with John Duffin from Duffin Media discuss their marketing strategies, including how they’ve been arguably targeting their products to minors. They discuss the recent highly publicized deaths and illnesses in Juul users.
Strays, a student-produced thriller, will premiere on TUTV next Saturday, November 23 at 3:30 and 11:30 p.m.
Temple Pilots is a student group and TUTV television show organized to help fellow students produce new ideas for TUTV. With the help and support of TUTV, this program delivers an array of interesting stories in the form of a series of pilots.
From Temple Education Professor George Mehler, FunScience Productions is a program focused on providing high quality science lessons on every core idea that students should know before high school. Each episode brings a series of engaging demonstrations in a broad range of topics including earth/space science, physics, life science, science practices and engineering. These demos are useful for teaching children about the world around us in a fun and direct way.
Tune in to TUTV on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. to see this new addition to the TUTV Monday afternoon educational programming block. A new episode will air on November 18.
The field of podcasting is booming, and Host Sherri Hope Culver brings in experts to discuss the relatively new format. Jack Klotz, Media Studies and Production Professor and recording engineer, and Sam Cohn, director of podcasts for WHIP radio join Culver to talk about the world of podcasting, what it offers as a medium, and where its going.

Host and show creator Deja Parker talks to Tomika Branch and Chyvonne Bacon, two entrepreneurs who own beauty stores in Ogontz, to talk about what it’s like owning one’s own business and how to achieve entrepreneurship in the neighborhood. Later, Parker discusses gentrification with Angela McIver, the CEO of the Fair Housing Rights Center; Beth McConnell, Policy Director at Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC); and Aissa Richardson, Outreach Director for the PA State Senate. Finally, Parker conducts an interview with Dozie Ibeh, the Associate Vice President of Temple’s Project Delivery Group, about the renovations being done on Gladfelter and Anderson.
