MSP major Kevin Otte spends a lot of time during the semester producing content for TUTV, both as a TUTV student producer and a contributor to shows OwlSports Update and Temple Update. But what happens when school’s out? Watch the video to find out.
Kevin documents two trips he and his friends (all of whom you might recognize from watching TUTV) took last year during spring break and later in the spring semester. Even though they were out on break, the TUTV crew decided to follow Temple’s basketball team first from Philadelphia to New York City to watch them play at the Barclays Center, and then to Dayton, Ohio, where they won against NC State.
“Covering the event for TUTV was awesome because there was such a big media presence there, and all of the games were nationally televised,” Kevin said about the experience. “Overall, we had a lot of fun on the trip!”
Keep an eye out for TUTV regulars Simone Cuccurullo, Danielle Maslany, Chase Senior, Tanya Hubbard, Seth Wozniak, Ankit Patel, and Beccah Hendrickson. The crew are seen not only interviewing basketball players and shooting b-roll, but also taking in the sights at Times Square and singing along to such classics as “Party in the USA” in their cars.
