Temple University LGBTQ Alumni Society hosts this interactive and educational panel, which seeks to better inform the next generation of Temple students about the importance of HIV preventative care. The panel includes a multidisciplinary team of case workers, activists, providers and undergrad students discussing PrEP, debunking myths about PrEP, discussing barriers involving obtaining PrEP and the future of PrEP.

PrEP/Truvada, a pre-exposure prophylaxis used to prevent the spread of HIV, is a powerful HIV prevention tool and can be combined with condoms and other prevention methods to provide even greater protection than when used alone. When taken consistently, PrEP has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV infection in people who are at high risk by up to 92%.
