Media Coverage of Conflict: Prof. Dov Shinar
Dr. Shinar discusses media coverage of conflicts, examining how media reports shape our view of conflicts and the predominance of violence in media coverage. This field of peace journalism involves methods for correcting this bias by creating journalism in mainstream and alternative media, and working with journalists, media professionals, audiences, and organizations in conflict.
Professor Shinar is Dean of the School of Communication and Head of FAIR MEDIA: Center for the Study of Conflict, War, and Peace Coverage, at Netanya Academic College in Israel.
