LGBTQ Alumni Society Discussion on Marriage Equality Issues


The Temple Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer (LGBTQ) Alumni Society hosts a panel discussion on issues surrounding marriage equality. Temple alumna Edith Windsor is represented in a case that will soon be heard by the Supreme Court of the United States. This interactive panel, featuring Temple faculty, staff, and friends attempt to answer questions related to this important case as well as the issues related to it. The discussion features guest panelists Angela Giampolo, founder of Giampolo Law Group; Aishah Simmons, a member of the adjunct faculty in Women’s Studies & LGBTQ programs at Temple; and Ted S. Martin, executive director of Equality Pennsylvania, the state’s LGBT political advocacy organization.
