A student production from MSP professor Kristine Weatherston’s class profiling the Wissahickon Valley, a historic oasis in Northwest Philadelphia. Rising in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, it runs about 23 miles passing through and dividing Northwest Philadelphia before emptying into the Schuylkill River. The creek now runs through or next to parkland, with the last few miles running through a deep gorge, containing 50 miles of trails. The gorge area is now part of the Fairmount Park system in Philadelphia.
