The Vibe begins by looking back to the 90s: 90s fashion and music are both seeing a resurgence in the zeitgeist, and 90s musicians are highlighted. The program also includes segments on the Ladies of Elegance, the University’s non-Greek step team; a series of 90s-themed rap battles; local rapper and producer Hezekiah’s recording studio; and student Danielle Hardy’s spoken word poetry. Finally, Philly-born Joie Kathos performs original music live on the set.

Created by journalism alumni Nydja Hood, The Vibe is Temple University’s first hip-hop culture and music television show, which provides a platform to artists at Temple and beyond. On The Vibe, students discuss what is trending in popular culture as well as feature rappers, poets, singers, and more.
