Welcome to a new season of The Vibe and get to know your brand new hosts, Alyssa Threadgill, a Journalism major, and Kamren Washington-Richards, a Communications Studies major. The hosts begin with a new segment titled “This or That,” which has a musical artist or guest picking between two options so viewers can learn more about their preferences and interests. This inaugural edition features special guest JM Haze, a Temple alum and recording artist signed to Bell Tower Records out of Klein College, who is later interviewed by both hosts in addition to performing his song “God Body” live. We also hear from The Vibe’s Wyatt Westlake, who brings the latest news on Bobby Shmurda, and this season’s on-air correspondent, Troy Pittman, who talks about all things Cardi B and the drama surrounding her newest music.
Created by journalism student Nydja Hood, The Vibe is Temple University’s first hip-hop culture and music television show, which provides a platform to artists at Temple and beyond. On The Vibe, students discuss what is trending in popular culture, and rappers, poets, and singers are featured. Follow the Vibe on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
