With new hosts and a new studio, The Temp gets a makeover. In this episode, the crew moves to studio 3 to bring you the top Temple news headlines from Spring 2023. Hosts Madeline Gillespie and Brianna Fallon highlight topics such as the murder of Sergeant Christopher Fitzgerald, the TUGSA strike, the Taylor Swift Ticket debacle, the Eagles Super Boal loss, the best pizza in town, and more. Next, correspondent Jetta Holiday visits the ECO Foundation, a West Philly community service center, to learn more about their programs and how students can give back to the community. Later, she stops by Braids By Jewel to talk to the young entrepreneur providing more than just braids to the community.
The Temp, initially created by Klein College of Media and Communication students and now a course in the Journalism Department, covers social, lifestyle, and political news, in a format that aims to set itself apart from traditional broadcasts. The Temp hopes to bring light to the hottest issues in and around Philadelphia through innovative push-the-boundary reporting.
