Voices of Time Before They Were Silenced

The Voices of Time Before They Are Silenced: The Holocaust is a documentary told solely with the words of four Holocaust survivors in the Philadelphia, PA region. Mania Perel, Arnold Vanderhorst, Kurt Herman, and Michael Herskovitz tell their stories.

As a freshman communications major, Darragh Friedman produced the documentary The Voices of Time Before They Are Silenced: The Holocaust to give living Holocaust survivors a platform to share their stories. The film earned praise from local schools and Jewish organizations and helped Friedman earn the Girl Scouts of America’s highest honor, the Gold Award.
