Temple Update: August 28th, 2014


A new class is ushered in with traditional Temple activities such as a convocation with guest speaker Bill Cosby, Welcome Week, and Temple Fest. A violent incident at Temple Fest has led to an assault investigation. Nicholas Cutrona covers Temple’s recent decision to remove the SAT/ACT requirement for perspective students, calling it the “Temple Option”. Morgan Hall’s food court has been redesigned to model J&H as an all you can eat buffet. Renovations at the TUCC campus offers a new lobby with a soon-to-be opened Barnes & Nobles. Tommy Sladek interviews Temple history professor Bryant Simon on his experience with being a parent of a Philadelphia Taney little league player that reached the world series, uniting the city under this very special team.
