Temple Update: April 30, 2015

Simone Cuccurullo opens the program on a somber note, addressing an unfortunate hit and run that took place just off the campus involving a Temple senior. Cuccurullo also reports on a building collapse that occurred on North 18th street. Jackie Nelms reports on new and excited changes coming to campus involving a brand new LED lighting system for Liacouras walk along with all new environmentally friendly pavers.

With graduation nearing, the University and its students make preparations for the big day. Update‘s Nic Cutrona reports live from the Liacouras Center where the ceremony will take place. With graduation comes finals which means students will be pulling out all of the stops in order to study, which often includes the usage of non-prescription, ADHD drugs. Taggart Houck reports on what this means for students and also gets a professional opinion. Update correspondents Tommy Sladek and Carly Mascitti return from their time in London and discuss the city, their experiences, and the people they’d met. As the semester comes to a close, the program ends with a review of its graduating members’ time with Temple Update.
