Lucy Bustamante

TUTV General Manager Paul Gluck spoke with news anchor Lucy Bustamante remotely via Zoom about how she got into television journalism, her coverage of Hurricane Katrina, and how it feels similar to covering the coronavirus and recent protests.

Bustamante is a Murrow award winning, Emmy nominated, bilingual journalist. She currently serves as a morning news anchor for NBC10 and breaking news anchor for Telemundo62. Lucy is the daughter of Cuban refugees who migrated to the U.S. in 1969. She is also the Co-President of the NAHJ (National Association of Hispanic Journalists).
