On this episode of Queer Temple, host Thalia Lash talks to LGBTQ+ actors in all genres and mediums from theatre to comedy about how they got involved in acting and why they have continued to pursue it. Thalia is joined by the Jude Laine Lewis (they/them) to discuss what drew them to Temple’s theatre program and how they got their start in acting onstage. Next, host Laila Page chats with Matthew Reid (He/Him), a member of Strides Collective, an LGBTQ+ acting troupe about how he got involved and what the collective does. Thalia closes us out talking with Brady Miller, an actor and writer for TUTV’s own Temple SMASH, about what it is like to be queer and writing for comedy.
Queer Temple is TUTV’s first LGBTQIA+ series that explores the world from the unique perspective of LGBTQIA+ individuals. This program highlights topics in current events, history, life within the queer community, and more.
