OwlSports Update: September 19, 2019


It has been an almost perfect week for Temple athletics all around, and OwlSports Update is here with the good news. Anchors Sean McGeehan and Brian Steinmetz kick off this edition with Temple Football’s terrific victory over Maryland Terrapins, as the Owls move closer to entering into the Top 25 in the nation. Nothing can stop the Temple Women’s Volleyball team as they are already performing above last season. OwlSports Update reporters interview the team’s Head Coach to learn more about the secret recipe behind the team’s 27 consecutive sets of victory. The Temple Women’s Field Hockey team secured their third win of the season. Men’s Soccer finally got their long-awaited first win and first goal of the season, with Lucas Fernandez scoring twice. Women’s Soccer has remained undefeated after three games with a win against Wagner and a draw with Maryland. The Men’s Cross Country team is poised for a record-breaking season with one of the oldest and most experienced team in their history. Tyrone Sharper has more on how the Temple Men’s Tennis team balances between sports and academics with an impressive average GPA of over 3.5.
