OwlSports Update: October 31, 2019


Sean McGeehan and Brian Steinmetz kick off this spooky edition of OwlSports Update with some scary football news. Temple Football got torched at home by the UCF Knights, a back-to-back blowout since the Owls’ weekend-to-forget in Dallas. Temple Owls are off for the second bye week of the season, and are still looking for their 6th win to become Bowl-eligible. Dom Gillaspy breaks down the Owls’ upcoming schedule with many tough opponents ahead, including the nationally ranked Cincinnati Bears. The Women’s Soccer team outscores Delaware State by 3 goals and is looking to rise in their ranking. The Men’s Soccer team takes the win 2-0 against UConn and is poised to make a push further into post-season. Steven Reifsneider has more on how the Men’s Soccer team is preparing for the most important game of the season against Tulsa, as the two teams are competing for home advantage heading into post-season. The Women’s Volleyball team puts an end to their losing streak as they sweep out Wichita State. The Women’s Field Hockey team seals the win against Villanova, but gets shutout in New Jersey by the nationally-ranked Rutgers. Before singing off, the anchors take a look at some of the players and teams that remind them of Temple’s past.
