OwlSports Update: October 17, 2019

Sean McGeehan and Brian Steinmetz are back at the studio to recap the Owls’ second victory over a nationally ranked opponent this season. The anchors take a closer look at Temple’s Homecoming game against Memphis, as the Owls beat the Tigers 27-17. First Maryland, then Memphis, now SMU: now, the Owls are preparing for their next matchup with the highest-ranked team in the AAC, the SMU Mustangs, but this time away from home. Will the Owls hand the Mustangs their first defeat of the season? Josh Safran has more on the new Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball team, Aaron McKie, a big-time NBA player. The Women’s Soccer team struggles to find the back of the net in a late night game with SMU, but shuts out the Houston Cougars by two goals the next day. The Women’s Volleyball team breaks their six-match losing streak with a win over East Carolina, and Tyler Lindgren was awarded Athlete of the Month. The Women’s Field Hockey team earns their first conference win against Georgetown, but loses to Lafayette only two days later. Currently ranked #10 in the NCAA, the Women’s Fencing team is working hard to climb up the ranks this season.
