OwlSports Update: November 7, 2019

Another week, another fresh edition of OwlSports Update. The Aaron McKie era is well underway, and JJ Michalski and Adam Crognale are back to cover his coaching debut game. With over 7,000 fans coming to their opening night, the Men’s Basketball team defeats Drexel, earning themselves their first win of the season. After the game, Aaron Mckie talks to the reporters about his coaching philosophy and how it feels from playing as a Temple student to now coaching the Men’s team. The Women’s Basketball team also brings home a W, knocking down Fairfield by almost 20 points. Paul Byrke joins the hosts at the desk to talk about how the Men’s Soccer team turned their season around by earning a spot in the AAC Tournament for the third year in a row. Although their five-games-unbeaten streak ended with a loss to the Mustangs, the Men’s Soccer team defeated SMU in the playoff game that immediately followed. Seamus O’Connor resigns after 7 years as the Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer team, and the Women’s Field Hockey team says goodbye to four seniors athletes. Later, Ray Dunne previews the Owls’ next matchup against USF, and Caitlin Checkett has more on Temple’s fencing season.
