OwlSports Update: February 6, 2020


Another week, another edition of OwlSports Update. After a disappointing 1-7 record in January, the Men’s Basketball team seems to have finally found their footing, defeating ECU 76-64 at home before losing to Memphis on the road. The Women’s Basketball team loses to Wichita State in a close game, but Mia Davis’ stellar performance should not be overlooked. In fact, she is currently ranked #19 in the country in points-per-game. OwlSports Update anchors Adam Crognale and JJ Michalski go over the Women’s and Men’s Basketball team schedules and take a deep dive into their current standings in the AAC. Luke Meli has more on the Women’s Lacrosse team lineups this season with 17 junior and senior players returning from the last season. Ray Dunne follows Ed Foley’s to the South, as this former Assistant Coach has recently joined the Carolina Panthers. The Fencing team just achieved being #5 in the nation, the highest rank in the program’s history. Porter Duncean reports from McGonigle Hall on how the team has been crushing it both on and off the field. Adam and JJ go Join My Parliament before wrapping up the show.
