Vito Malacari is live outside Franklin Field for the 124th-annual Penn Relays with more on the captains of Temple Track and Field and the team’s goals for the weekend. Matt Daly finds out how former Temple Owls Blanca Fernandez, an Olympic hopeful, and Ajeé Wilson, an American record holder, inspire the track and field team to push themselves and beat their personal records. Ali McCann joins the desk to tell us about Ryquell and Rachell Armstead, siblings who have been competing their entire lives, and how this sibling rivalry continues at Temple as they are both excelling in their respective sports: football and track and field. Jonathan Gilbert reports on senior attacker Toni Yuko, who has become a powerhouse player during her last season with Temple Lacrosse. Sarah Metts takes a closer look at a Philadelphia rivalry that is not on the basketball court but on the Schuylkill River.
