The Power of Algorithms


Guests Judith Donath and Michael Kearns join host Sherri Hope Culver to share their expertise on algorithms and discuss how they affect our everyday lives.

Donath works as a writer, designer, and artist, focusing her work around the co-evolution of technology and society. Her work pertaining to social media, ethics, and AI has been published several times, including in her very own textbook. Kearns is a Professor and the National Center Chair in the Computer and Information Science Department at the University of Pennsylvania. His research primarily concerns machine learning, algorithmic game theory, and quantitative finance. Among other things, Kearns also works in various departments in the Wharton School of Business.
