Extremist Recruitment Online
This episode of Media Inside Out looks at how extremists are using our digital media for recruitment. The internet serves as a place with virtually almost no restrictions and unlimited free speech; as such, people are exposed to different ideologies from around the world from a young age. In this episode, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Temple University, Steven Windisch, and Deputy Director of Philadelphia’s Anti-Defamation League, Robin Burstein, examine the tactics and methods of extremists in getting their messages across so that we can better combat them.
