New Orleans is a 1947 American musical romance film starring Arturo de Córdova and Dorothy Patrick and directed by Arthur Lubin. Although the film has a fairly conventional storyline, it is significant for featuring jazz legend Billie Holiday as a singing maid who is romantically involved with bandleader Louis Armstrong. It includes extensive performances of New Orleans-style Dixieland jazz, showcasing over twenty songs or versions of songs in full or in part.
